BlackBerry Q5 smartphone unveiled in India. It is a QWERTY smartphone from BlackBerry. The smartphone announced on March 2013 at BlackBerry Live Conference. In India it priced at RS. 24,990. This QWERTY smartphone runs on latest BlackBerry operating system, version 10.1. The device sports a 3.1-Inch LCD multi touchscreen display with IPS technology, 16M colors, and 720 x 720 pixels screen resolution, 329ppi.


BlackBerry Q5 smartphone integrated with dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor and it has 2GB of RAM for smooth multi-tasking. The device has dual cameras a 5MP rear facing autofocus camera with LED flash and a 2MP front facing camera with video calling facility. 8GB of in-built memory included for storage needs and it expandable up to 32GB using Micro SD card slot.

BlackBerry Q5 features high speed internet access via 3G, 4G, GPRS, EDGE, and Wi-Fi with HTML 5 integrated web browser. Other connectivity options are Bluetooth, NFC, USB, Wi-Fi hotspot, GPS, and 3.5mm Audio Jack. The device has a Media player which support MP3/WAV/WMA/eAAC+ Music files and MP4/ H.263/H.264/WMV video files. For messaging services BlackBerry Q5 comes with SMS, MMS, Push Mail, E-mail, IM, and BBM6 messaging options.

2180mAh Li-Ion rechargeable battery manages power supply and backup time of the device. Dimension of the smartphone is 120 x 66 x 10.8 mm and weight is 128gm. BlackBerry Q5 available in 3 color variants Black, Red, and White.


BlackBerry also launched its flagship smartphone BlackberryZ10 few months back with BlackBerry 10 operating system. BlackBerry Z10 priced at RS. 30,000INR. Z10 sports a 4.2-Inch Super AMOLED multi touchscreen and powered by 1.5GHz dual-core Krait processor with 2GB RAM.
